【Premium】 Medium-length Shamisen, Ko-mochi Ayasugi body, Red sandalwood, Maple burl, 2-groove, Gold inlay, K-mark, Tortoiseshell plectrum

US Size:

This is a medium-neck shamisen.

Primarily used for Jiuta, Minyo, Kouta, Shinnaibushi, Tokiwazu, and Kiyomoto, this shamisen is known for its supple tone that blends well with vocals and other instruments (koto, shakuhachi), making it versatile for a wide range of music from classical to contemporary.

The skin will need to be replaced, but other parts are in good condition with some minor scuffs.
Condition is subjective, so please check the images.

This shamisen features characteristics of a high-quality instrument, including a komochi ayasugi dou (body), a red sandalwood neck, a nihon-mizo (double groove), and gold fittings.
The fukurin (tuning peg fittings) have a K stamp, and the neck shows tochi (burl wood) with tiger-like patterns.
The total length is approximately 96cm, and the neck thickness is about 2.8cm. Please note that these are amateur measurements and may contain slight errors.

Accessories include the shamisen body, a tortoiseshell bachi (plectrum), a koma (bridge), a yubikake (finger protector), a nagabukuro (long bag), and a hard case.
The case has some dirt, so please be aware of this.
Everything shown in the photos is included.
This instrument belonged to my grandmother and appears to have been stored at home for some time.
Please purchase with the understanding of its current condition.
