We checked which parts of the foot are most sensitive to ball touch and created the upper in a heatmap format overlaid on the foot shape.

With the idea of amplifying the sensation in areas with frequent touch, we developed an upper with raised and recessed areas of various sizes.

Unlike the first generation Magista, where the entire upper was uniform, we have raised the areas that touch the ball the most (4.5mm) to ensure solid ball control in these areas.

The raised areas use a cushioning material with a sheath-like shape to allow players to react quickly to the feel of the ball when it touches the cleat.

The process of creating the textured upper is a new application of NIKE Flyknit technology.

Previously, materials were added on top of the upper. However, thanks to Flyknit's ability to precisely finish each knit, it's now possible to create a three-dimensional feel without adding weight or extra materials.
