This is a deadstock item of the No. 50 COMET, manufactured in the early period when Dietz relocated its factory to Hong Kong, around the 1950s-1960s.
This particular unit was handled by Evernew, the official distributor in Japan at the time. Not only is the condition of the lantern itself excellent, but it is extremely rare to find one with all its accessories in such perfect condition on the market.

The tank is free of any rust or fuel stains, and the burner wick is still pristine white, indicating deadstock condition.

The globe features the embossed logo from that era. The stamp on the bottom of the tank is off-center, a rare characteristic of the early molds used at the Hong Kong factory.
