Water-use models are full carbon, high-strength, and float on water. Land-use models do not float, so it's recommended to attach a children's arm float to the tail until you get used to it.

On the other hand, the Kitewing Sport 3.0 is a bit more challenging to take off, but once airborne, the headwind resistance is drastically reduced, and you'll be amazed at how quickly the speed increases. It becomes almost frightening at top speed.
If conditions are just right, there are likely no other wings that can match this speed.
The disadvantage is that there's a slight trick to handling it after a capsize, but it's easy once you know how.
In any case, it's far stiffer than any inflatable wing. The feeling of firmly catching the wind and gliding smoothly without resistance is addictive.
