Refurbished and fully functional Fairmate CS-12 Simple Monophonic Cassette Recorder

Overview: This is a simply yet meticulously crafted monaural cassettecorder. While this unit typically suffers from sound distortion at near maximum volume on both its internal speaker and headphones, the unit being offered here has been modified to address this issue. Incidentally, it is essentially the same unit as the TP-50 (Casio).

Features:
- VAC (Voice Activated Recording) and Tone Switch. When set to HIGH/ON, treble is emphasized during playback. During recording, the motor stops if the surroundings are silent for over 5 seconds and starts when sound is detected. Please use it in the NORMAL/OFF setting.
- Tape counter
- External microphone jack
- Cue & Review
- Automatic stop at tape end during recording and playback
- External power terminal (3V, outer diameter 5.5mm, inner diameter 2.1mm, center negative)

Notes:
- This listing is for the main unit only. Please prepare your own recording tape and two AA batteries separately.
- It is highly likely that only I have performed this level of work on this unit. I will ignore negotiation requests for price reduction unless a competitor appears offering the same model, with the same maintenance, at a lower price. I will gradually lower the price at my discretion, but the minimum will be 3200 yen.
- There are quite a few scratches. Please refer to image 4.
- The power indicator on this unit does not function as a recording indicator. (It does not turn off even if the microphone picks up sound during recording.)
- This unit is a monaural tape recorder. If headphones or stereo earphones are connected directly, only the left channel will sound. To listen with both ears, please use a 2-pole male to 3-pole female conversion adapter.

Packaging and Shipping: Approximately 500g, exceeding 3cm in thickness. It will be shipped via Yu-Yu Mercari Plus. Please note that because this unit weighs over 250g, standard mail would be more expensive. Also, due to its thickness of 38mm, it cannot be sent via Yu-Packet Post.
