NEC 2SA627 Pair x 2 (Total 4 pcs) (Parts Listing #129)

Thank you for your purchase of NEC 2SA627 (L79B pair) x 2 (4 pieces total) from our parts listings (Parts #67, #74, #77, #89, #102).

We are now listing NEC 2SA627 pair (L85B pair) x 2 (4 pieces total) as part of our parts listing (Parts #129).

These 2SA627 transistors were purchased approximately 40 years ago at Daiden Shoji or Wakamatsu Tsusho in Akihabara for use in a Kaneda-style DC power amplifier. These are unused transistors with rank/serial number L85B, selected from a batch of 23.
We measured the hFE at VCE = 9V and IC = 150mA, and were able to form 2 pairs in 3 groups with the same rank/serial number.
Please note that the L85B transistors have numbers written on the front and back with a permanent marker (though the numbers on the front have largely faded).
The measured hFE values are as follows (Transistor Number: hFE):

● Group A = 03: 170, 08: 169, 02: 158, 07: 157
● Group B = 21: 152, 27: 151, 24: 150, 26: 150
● Group C = 28: 148, 06: 146, 22: 141, 23: 139

This time, we are listing 2 pairs (4 pieces) from Group A. If there is demand, we will list Group B next time.
We have measured the hFE, so we believe they are in good condition. However, in the unlikely event of a defect, we will provide a refund upon return of the item.
