Typically, long-cast fishing cage rigs for large fish require floats of size 10 or higher. This puts a significant load on the fish, as they feel the weight of the cage, the balance bar, and the float, causing sensitive fish to release the bait. This rig overcomes such drawbacks.
While it uses a standard size 5 float, the cage body itself weighs 61g, enabling ultra-long casts. Furthermore, since the main line is not directly connected to the cage, even subtle changes are transmitted directly from the bait to the float.
- Target: Mid-to-lower layers for horse mackerel, black sea bream, red sea bream, flatfish, etc.
- By adding weights to the bottom lid, the increased self-weight allows for even further casting (adjust the float accordingly).
