*The instep area is tighter compared to the old Beckman's No. 8 last. It is common to go up half a size.
The Beckman Boot, named after Charles Beckman, who founded Red Wing Shoes in 1905, was born in 2006, based on Red Wing's boots from the early 20th century, mixed with modern materials and tastes. It quickly became a very popular product, but production was suspended due to the impact of production systems caused by COVID-19, and many voices requested its revival. Now, the reborn Beckman is making its long-awaited return in the 2024FW season.
The Beckman, re-released this season in 2024, features design improvements that heavily reflect the opinions of the development team that originally created the Beckman. The same upper is layered onto a more anatomically considered last, and a thin layer of Poron foam has been added under the leather heel pad for a more comfortable fit. The leather insole remains the same, and the outsole is Gro-Cord, the same as the Flat Box. Speed hooks have been added to the top for easier on and off. The stitching has been changed to match each Excalibur leather, making it easy to care for with color cream without worrying about color transfer.
Leather with a refined sheen. The sole features a resin half-sole with good grip attached to a traditional leather sole.
