Technics SL-1200mk2 Turntable 2-Unit Set - Sound Output OK

Thank you for viewing.

This is the Technics SL-1200MK2, a legendary turntable.
It's a classic model for club DJs and audio enthusiasts alike, known for its stable rotation and ease of use.

- Operation confirmed
Power on, 33/45 RPM, start/stop, pitch adjustment, arm lift/lower, and other functions have been checked.
- Exterior
As this is an older unit, there are scratches, scuffs, and deterioration of the plating overall, but no major dents or cracks.
Occasionally, there is poor contact when attaching the cartridge and tonearm. Loosening the screws and moving them a few times will improve the contact.

- Customizations
RCA cable replaced, stylus lamp replaced with blue LED. However, the lamp remains on regardless of whether the button is pressed or the lamp is retracted. Please refer to photo 16.

- Self-maintenance
Internal dust removal by air blowing, oil applied to the center spindle, pitch control fader disassembled, cleaned with carbon, and re-soldered. Connected to Serato DJ with two units and confirmed that the fluctuation values at +8, -8, and center 0 are normal.

- Junk parts
Unit A: The response of the start/stop switch is slightly poor, but it can be used without issues in normal operation.
Unit B: The internal part for the center 0 position of the pitch control fader is missing, so it does not click into place, but the variable function works normally. This is the feel of the pitch control from the MK3D onwards.

- Accessories
Integrated power cord
RCA cable
Ground wire
Slipmat
*Please provide your own cartridge and headshell.
*Dust cover is not included.

I have used this unit for approximately 30 years, performing maintenance myself. I am selling it due to upgrading my equipment.
Although there are signs of use and scratches, I believe it can still be used.
