This is a vintage Torskefiske (Cod Fishing) ceramic wall plaque / cheese board made in Norway by Figgjo Flint featuring folk-art artwork by Gerd Design. The design shows a mid-century silkscreen scene of a Norwegian fishing village with a fisherman packing fish, a woman in traditional costume, boats and red coastal building. This item was manufactured in Norway during the mid-20th century. It is designed with a hanging hole at the tope to serve as a decorative wall plaque, hot pad trivet or a cheese cutting board serving tray. It measures approximately 12.75 x 6 and comes with the original box, but the box has been torn and shows signs of age. This item has been stored for years and never used.
