This is a rack that can house 6 x 500-series modules. In addition to the power supply to operate each module, it can supply 48V phantom power to microphone preamplifiers. Up to 6 modules can be used simultaneously. Although there are 6 slots, there are also terminals for channels 7 & 8. The front is equipped with XLR inputs, and the rear has XLR input/output and 1/4 TRS output terminals. It can be used for various purposes depending on your creativity, such as connecting external mic preamps.
Common features of the Workhorse series include the FEED switch, which sends signals to adjacent modules without cables, the LINK switch, which allows two modules to be stereo-linked, and the OMNIPORT terminal, whose function changes depending on the Radial module installed.
The rear panel has 8-channel D-Sub input/output terminals, allowing connection to workstations. D-Sub channels 1-6 correspond to the 6 slots, and channels 7 & 8 correspond to the 7 & 8 XLR terminals on the front and rear.
