Vintage 1970s Folding Knitting Sewing Basket Wood Frame Kilim Boho 14"

Vintage c. 1970s folding knitting / sewing basket featuring a wooden X-frame and colorful Persian / Kilim-style printed fabric.  The standout textile features a bold geometric carpet-inspired pattern in orange, red, mustard, olive, black, and white. The fabric basket is suspended from a warm-toned wooden folding frame with long rounded dowel handles.  Inside is a black fabric lining with a sewn-in storage pocket for smaller notions and supplies. A matching patterned carrying strap makes it easy to transport when folded, and the collapsible frame allows for convenient storage. A translucent amber/orange plastic accent is mounted along the upper edge.  Originally designed as a portable knitting, sewing, or yarn basket, it also works beautifully as a magazine rack, craft organizer, or decorative storage piece.
