The calligraphy style is Yoshiyuki, believed to be a unique custom order inscribed by Master Yoshiyuki Kita-da, also known as Josui from the Tokyo Koma Kenkyukai (Shogi Piece Research Group).
The wood is mottled Satsuma boxwood, a beautifully textured and high-quality wood.
