VTG Handwoven Reed Melon Basket, Half God’s Eye, Oval Egg Gathering Cottagecore
Unbranded
25.00 $
Description
Handwoven oval reed melon/egg gathering basket with a tall, fixed handle and decorative half Gods eye weaving at the handle attachments. The basket has a warm brown finish, ribbed construction, and an intentionally handmade look with natural asymmetry. One side of the rim sits slightly lower than the other, giving the basket a subtle angled profile. Good pre-owned vintage condition with several broken or missing reed strands, noted near the decorative front/handle attachment areas and god's eye weaving imperfections. Some wear and irregularity to the handle wrapping. One side of the basket sits slightly lower than the other as part of the handmade/asymmetrical construction. Please review photos closely.
