Antique Vintage Chinese Woven Willow gathering basket made between 1900 - 1940. This is a beautiful addition to a modern house.  This piece is regarded as a historical treasure and folk art. The basket is hand crafted from willow, rattan and carved bentwood—all natural fibers.   This treasure is in good vintage condition. Structurally sound (please note that one wood handle is slightly loose). The basked features a beautiful dark age patina on the bottom and which is consistent with it are and authenticity.  The interior has a “Smoked Willow Process” which is a the artisan’s “craftsman” technique as a barrier for natural pesticides and preservative (for grain, rice and other food products).
