MOTU's MIDI interface was born as an expansion device for Digital Performer, which has remained the pinnacle of MIDI sequencers since its introduction. MIDI is not just a legacy device control signal transmission, but is still an indispensable protocol for playing software synthesizers. A MIDI interface is an important tool for external synchronization, management of hardware synthesizers, and various MIDI control inputs. MOTU's MIDI interfaces are natively compatible with 64-bit operating systems such as Windows and Mac OS X, operate on USB bus power, and have continued to evolve by incorporating feedback and experience from numerous top professionals.
