Striking vintage signed PEM figural brooch depicting an Asian basket carrier wearing a traditional conical-style hat and balancing two woven baskets from a shoulder pole. Beautifully detailed throughout, from the figure's clothing and facial features to the textured baskets, hat and footwear. The dimensional gold-tone design has wonderful character and movement. Signed © PEM on the reverse and finished with a rollover safety clasp. Circa: 1960s-1970s Measurements are approximate: • 1 3/4 in by 2 in Condition: Very good to excellent vintage condition with only light age-related wear. Rollover clasp works as it should.
