This is a long-term home storage item, so please only consider if you understand it is a used item.

It can also be used as a regular pot.

★By placing used charcoal or firewood inside the pot and closing the lid, you can cut off the air (suffocation extinguishing) and safely and naturally extinguish the fire. The extinguished charcoal (keshi-zumi) is easier to ignite the next time you start a fire, helping to save fuel and improve efficiency.
This is an essential tool for outdoor activities such as barbecues and camping, as well as for using charcoal with shichirin (small charcoal grills), irori (sunken hearths), and hibachi (braziers).
