Primitive c. 1940s Solid Wood Cutting Board East Texas Farmhouse Bread Board Primitive solid wood cutting board believed to date to the 1940s, sourced from an East Texas estate. Crafted from a single substantial piece of wood with an integrated short handle and drilled hanging hole. The warm aged surface features pronounced grain, natural knots, softened edges, knife marks, scratches, and decades of authentic-looking kitchen wear that give it excellent primitive farmhouse character. Compact proportions make this especially attractive for display in a collected kitchen, layered with larger bread boards, hung on a wall, or styled as rustic kitchenalia. Wood is believed to be Southern pine, though the exact species cannot be confirmed. Measurements: Overall length including handle: approx. 11 1/4” Width: approx. 7 1/4” Condition: Vintage/antique preowned condition with substantial age-related wear, surface marks, scratches, discoloration, knots, and patina consistent with its utilitarian history. No attempt has been made to restore the surface. Best suited for decorative or collectible use; food safety is not guaranteed.
