Thank you for looking. This is an antique dyed maru obi (a type of kimono sash). It is a vintage item.
The obi is a muted beige with beige clouds. The fan motifs in brown and purple tones are embellished with gold thread embroidery ♪ The lining is lavender satin.
It possesses a refined elegance characteristic of antiques.
There are faint stains on the front of the obi, around the yama (mountain) area of the taiko (drum) knot. Approximately 40 cm of the part that becomes the front sash is unstitched. There are stains on the satin lining.
We are looking for someone who will appreciate it even with these imperfections, and who understands antique and home-stored items.
Please refrain from purchasing if even minor stains are a concern.
The length is approximately 356 cm and the width is approximately 31.2 cm. There may be some slight errors.
