Vintage Owens Illinois Romanov Glass Decanter Double Eagle Cork Stopper

Vintage Owens-Illinois Romanov-style glass liquor decanter/carafe featuring its distinctive double-headed eagle glass stopper with original cork fitting. This beautiful mid-century barware piece has a tall tapered clear-glass body, applied handle, ribbed neck and unusual angled pouring spout. The removable glass stopper features the recognizable crowned double-headed eagle/Romanov crest. The base bears the Owens-Illinois glassmaker marking and the period liquor-bottle statement “Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-Use of This Bottle.” Comparable surviving examples of this Romanov carafe can be found with a gold double-headed eagle decoration on the body. That applied decoration is no longer present on this example, leaving the glass beautifully clear. Original glass stopper and cork are present — a wonderful display piece for a vintage bar, mid-century glass collection or retro kitchen. Very nice vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. Cork shows age-appropriate wear. Please review all photos for condition and markings. 📦 Fast shipper 🎀 Packaged carefully for safe arrival 🏡 Smoke-free home
