Description
Vintage German pewter porringer or brandy bowl with its original BMF Nürnberg Fein Zinn paper hangtag still attached. The pedestal bowl features two elaborate openwork handles with scrolling decoration and figural medallions, while a large stylized floral rosette decorates the interior base. The combination of the footed form, symmetrical handles, and decorative relief gives the piece a distinctly traditional European metalware appearance. The original tag reads “Fein Zinn aus Nürnberg” and “Pewter Etain Peltre,” identifying the material in German, English, French, and Spanish.
