Maruobi antique, beautiful condition, pure silk, embroidery, gold thread

This is a Maru Obi that was stored in my mother's traditional Japanese chest.

I had it re-tailored without the inner lining for my own use, but it has been stored without any opportunity to wear it.

All-over pattern (Tsuu-dori) obi are considered expensive because the pattern is woven across the entire obi, increasing production costs.

The pattern covers the entire obi, so when you tie it, you can see the pattern on the taiko (drum), the side of the body, and the tare (end flap).

You can create a wide variety of obi knots without worrying about plain sections.

It can be worn by anyone, regardless of body type, whether slim or full-figured.
