1957 Les Paul Special Murphy Lab

Gibson Custom Shop Japan Limited
Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Special Single Cut Reissue TV Yellow Light Aged

This is a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Special 1957 Murphy Lab Light Aged model.

Purchased new in 2025 at an instrument store in Ochanomizu. It was bought as a collector's item and has barely been played, so it's in like-new condition. Sound and operation have been confirmed. As you can see in the photos, this model features beautiful, extensive aging. While it's difficult to distinguish due to the aging, there are virtually no accidental scratches. I am selling it due to personal circumstances. It is completely original, including the hard case, with no modifications. All documents that came with the new purchase are also included.

I will ship as quickly as possible after purchase, but I have set a longer shipping time to allow for packing. Below is the product description.

The 1957 Les Paul Special has a different charm than the Les Paul Standard.
It features a mahogany body and a mahogany neck with a '59 shape, which is slightly slimmer than the '57 model. It also uses medium-sized frets found on the '59.
The 3-on-a-plate Kluson-style tuners and the wrap-around stop tailpiece provide a direct and satisfying resonance.
Equipped with P-90 Underwound pickups, which have a lower output than standard P-90s, it offers a clear sound with rich overtones and lush harmonics. The tone remains bright even when the volume is turned down.
The mild midrange characteristic of mahogany, combined with the edgy yet thick and mellow tone of the P-90 pickups, will cut through a band's ensemble and match well with vocals. The aging is Light Aged.
With a higher density of weather checking and lightly aged hardware, it reproduces the natural aging and playing wear of a guitar that has been played at home.
You can enjoy the exquisite details and vintage-like feel created by new techniques on this high-quality instrument.
