It has been washed and stored, and is unused.

Magewappa bento boxes are made of wood and are known for their ability to keep rice fluffy and delicious even when cold, thanks to the wood's natural moisture-regulating properties that absorb excess moisture. Wappa refers to the round shape. In some regions, it is called meppa, menpa, or sawara.

The wooden material breathes well, making rice taste delicious.
It releases excess moisture while retaining necessary moisture, thus preserving the fluffy and chewy texture of freshly cooked rice for a delicious meal. Cold rice is also very tasty.

Regarding the fasteners:
Traditionally, magewappa bento boxes were joined using cherry bark as fasteners. In the past, rice grains were used as adhesive, and then connected with cherry bark. This technique led to the development of today's magewappa bento boxes.
For this microwave-safe bento box, through repeated improvements, we have used high-safety U.S. adhesive to enhance strength. By not sewing the fastener area, we have further improved strength and reduced the possibility of mold growth.
Although the traditional magewappa fasteners were intentionally omitted, we have succeeded in developing the first microwave-safe magewappa bento box. This is a newly developed microwave-safe bento box by a magewappa craftsman.
