Golden Week Limited Special Price Marshall VALVESTATE 8040 (Slightly Imperfect)
⭐︎Golden Week Limited-Time Special Price⭐︎
A tube preamplifier from the English-made era.
Equipped with a 12-inch Celestion G12L speaker.
This is an easy-to-use model that can handle small live performances.
Since I purchased it used, it appears the power switch has been replaced.
I own another unit of the same model, and the noise when the power is on, as well as the output and volume of the clean and drive channels, are all comparable.
Additionally, when not playing on the drive channel, there is sometimes a boso boso (crackling/hissing) noise. This does not occur constantly. Replacing the preamp tubes may improve this.
All knobs are functional, but the mid-range control on the clean channel has a slight clicking sensation at some points, and the volume knob on the drive channel has crackling. The volume of the crackling noise is not excessively loud when no sound is being produced.
There are scratches and dirt consistent with its age. There may be other issues I have overlooked, but as this is an older item, please understand that all sales are final (no claims, no returns).
For the reasons mentioned above, the price has been reduced from the current market value.
