Vintage Art Deco Floor Smoking Stand Ashtray Metal Pedestal Plunger Antique

Condition Pre-owned / For restoration Description Vintage freestanding metal smoking stand / floor ashtray with a distinctive Art Deco / Machine Age appearance. Features a large textured ashtray bowl, U-shaped upper handle, center rod/plunger assembly, tall pedestal, and round base. The center disk lifts as shown in the photos, exposing the opening into the pedestal. This is a wonderful old piece with loads of authentic age and character. The mottled copper/bronze-toned textured finish is especially attractive. Condition: This piece is being sold in as-found, unrestored condition. It has substantial oxidation, rust, surface wear, discoloration and corrosion throughout from age. There is heavier corrosion inside the ash receptacle and pedestal, as well as corrosion on the underside/base. Please note that there is an area of rust-through/perforation visible on the underside, as photographed. The center rod/plunger and disk are present and move. I have not attempted to restore, polish, strip or repaint the piece.
