Antique Victorian 8K 9K Solid Gold Bohemian Garnet Double Tiered Domed Cluster Star Brooch C Clasp 2.9g Petite Estate Jewelry An exquisite antique Bohemian garnet brooch dating to the late Victorian era, approximately 1880–1900. Though wonderfully petite, this little beauty absolutely commands attention! It features dozens of richly colored, faceted garnets arranged in a dramatic double-tiered, domed cluster with a pointed starburst or snowflake silhouette. The garnets glow with deep wine-red color, flashing vivid crimson wherever the light catches their facets. Each stone is individually set. The setting was professionally tested at a gold shop using an electronic precious-metal reader and confirmed as solid gold. Because the older testing unit could not distinguish precisely between 8K and 9K gold. The gemstones were tested on a Presidium II gemstone tester. A rare, beautifully constructed survivor measuring just 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch and weighing 2.9 grams.
