Ichimatsu Ningyo (Boy) by Akimitsu Fujimura (Kokan)
This is a boy's Ichimatsu doll by Akimitsu Fujimura (now known as Kōkan).
It was purchased at the artist's exhibition in 1985. The dolls by Akimitsu Fujimura have an indescribable charm, and their eyes are truly adorable. You can feel the love and care the artist, who truly loves dolls, put into creating them. The kimono is, of course, made of pure silk, but it has faded due to sun exposure because it was displayed on a shelf. Although it's not noticeable at first glance, if you remove the kimono, you'll see a color difference around the obi area.
Since it's a boy doll, it has a proper omajirushi (a small decorative knot or charm), which is incredibly cute!
I am planning to move next year and am parting with some of my collection. I hope it goes to someone who will cherish it.
