Lot of 3 Vintage American Flyer No. 638 Red Caboose Train Cars  Vintage lot of three A.C. Gilbert American Flyer No. 638 red cabooses for S gauge model railroad layouts.  These classic postwar cabooses feature red bodies, raised center cupolas, metal trucks and link-style couplers. Each car is marked American Flyer with road number 638.  The No. 638 caboose was produced during the late 1940s and early 1950s and is a recognizable piece from the postwar American Flyer train line.  All three are in used vintage condition with varying degrees of paint wear, surface marks, dust, discoloration and age-related wear. The metal underframes and wheel assemblies show oxidation and residue. Couplers and small details may have wear, bends, replacements or missing components. One car has a handwritten price sticker underneath.  The cars have not been tested on a powered layout. They are being sold as pictured for collection, display, restoration or parts.
