Super Adamas 1687-8 30th Anniversary Model
Comments are welcome from those interested in purchasing.
This is a rare 30th-anniversary model of the Ovation Super Adamas 1687-8 (Blue), a top-tier acoustic-electric guitar.
*As this is a high-value item, please comment before purchasing.
This unit is a rare model reissued to commemorate the 30th anniversary. It was manufactured in 2009, as indicated by the serial number.
Features:
- Non-cutaway deep bowl body
- Carbon graphite top
- Lyrawood back and sides
- Walnut fingerboard and bridge
- Adamas epaulets
- Mono and stereo 2-output
- Nut width approximately 42mm
- Popular Blue Burst color
The graphite top provides excellent acoustic resonance, with deep, rich bass, crisp mids, and clear, well-balanced highs, all of which are highly appealing.
The guitar is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use and no visible metal deterioration on the tuning pegs. It has been carefully stored and handled, making it a near-mint condition item.
There are no buckle scratches or dings on the Adamas headstock, and it remains in very clean condition.
The neck is in good condition with good playability.
The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 1.5mm for the 1st string and 2mm for the 6th string. Adamas guitars are typically set up with slightly lower action. Please excuse any minor variations in string height.
The original hard case is included and is also in very clean condition.
The electronics are in perfect working order, producing a clear sound without any noise. When plugged into an amplifier, there may occasionally be a slight crackling sound from the wooden knobs when first adjusted, but this quickly subsides with minor adjustment, producing a clean sound. This does not affect playability.
The guitar will be shipped securely packed with cushioning materials (newspaper and bubble wrap) inside a dedicated guitar carton box.
Shipping will be via Yamato Transport.
As this is a high-value item, please comment before purchasing.
Given the recent increase in Adamas guitar prices and the excellent condition of this instrument, significant price reductions are unlikely.
Please note that all sales are final, with no claims or returns accepted after arrival.
We encourage you to consider this opportunity.
