Sigma Guitars by Martin, Made in Japan, OO-21 Type, with Hard Case
Sigma Guitars by Martin, Made in Japan, OO-21 Type
This is a Japanese-made OO-21 model from around 1980.
Specific specs are unknown, but it's likely a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The fingerboard is nearly jet black, resembling ebony, but considering it's likely to Martin's specifications, it's probably rosewood.
I also own a Martin OO-21, and as this is a Martin-licensed product, the appearance is almost identical.
There are a few small dings and scratches, but it's incredibly clean for a guitar that's about 45 years old.
There is no fret wear.
String height at the 12th fret is approximately 1.75mm for the 1st string and 2.25mm for the 6th string.
While Martin OO-21s are not commonly seen, this model is also rarely encountered.
