Vintage Zuni Bird Inlay Ring Turquoise Coral Sterling Silver 19.55g Native
Zuni
Vintage Zuni Bird Inlay Ring Turquoise Coral Sterling Silver 19.55g Native. A wonderful and unusually substantial vintage Zuni figural-inlay ring, dating approximately to the 1960s–1970s, with the 1970s most likely. The large oval silver face features a stylized bird rendered in colorful traditional inlay. The composition includes turquoise along with red/orange, deep red/brown, pale and dark inlay materials. The bird is accompanied by turquoise botanical/floral elements, creating a charming and highly graphic mid-century Southwestern design. What particularly sets this ring apart is its construction. At 19.55 grams, this is a heavy, substantial example with a thick oval face and broad integrated tapered silver shank rather than the lighter commercial-style mountings frequently encountered on vintage figural inlay rings.
