This is a purely domestic, natural diatomaceous earth cut-out shichirin grill, meticulously carved by artisans using chisels.

It is said to offer superior charcoal longevity, far-infrared effect, insulation, durability, and food grilling results compared to common pressed (kneaded) products.

Cut-out shichirin grills are made by directly cutting out diatomaceous earth layers and shaping them without breaking the mass, then firing. This process preserves the air layers within the grill, resulting in excellent insulation and maximizing charcoal combustion.
