Antique 1890s WILLSON Wire Rim Oval Spectacles Eveglasses w/ Velvet Lined Case

This is a beautiful piece of optical history; a pair of authentic antique wire-rimmed oval spectacles manufactured by the renowned Thomas A Willson & Co. out of Reading, Pennsylvania. Dating to the late Victorian/early Edwardian era (circa 1890-1910), this set comes complete with its rare original fabric-wrapped velvet-lined hard case. The inner bridge features the crisp, authentic stamped maker's mark: WILLSON.  This set is in excellent antique condition given its 110+ year age. The metal frames show a wonderful authentic aged patina with light surface wear but no breaks, major bends, or structural welds. The cable temples remain flexible and intact. The lenses show minor micro scratching consistent with age but no major cracks. The original case snaps securely closed; the outer wrapping shows historical shelf wear/scuffing.  Perfect for antique optical collectors, steampunk enthusiasts, prop masters, or historical reenactors.
