Vintage CMC Japan Red Black Stacking Bento Box 2 Tier

Vintage CMC Japan two tier stacking box set with lid, featuring a bold red exterior and black interior. This mid century style lacquerware bento box includes two square trays that nest securely into each other with built in footers, plus a fitted lid. Made in Japan and marked CMC on the base. Each tray measures approximately 5” x 5”, with a total stacked height of about 4.5”. Compact and versatile, this piece works beautifully as a bento lunch box, trinket storage, jewelry organizer, or small keepsake box. There are surface scratches on the lid that were difficult to fully capture in photos, but they are present and can be seen when zooming in. Otherwise, light vintage wear consistent with age and use. No cracks noted. A great example of Japanese stacking lacquerware with clean lines and functional design. Follow me for more vintage finds!
