Daitokuji 503rd Abbot Zui-gan So-seki Original Work "Bamboo Tea Scoop" Inscription: Sode no Tsuyu (with original box and original tube) Master of Houn-sai's Ordination

This is a tea scoop handmade by the renowned Zen master Zuigan, who was the teacher for the initiation ceremony of Grand Master Hounsai of the Urasenke school. This is a beautiful tea scoop, carved with a reverse channel, and the tip of the scoop is thicker than the area below the node, with a deep channel. The high-quality bamboo has matured with a rich flavor. The accompanying tube is signed Sodenotsuyu (seal), and the accompanying box is signed Mei Sodenotsuyu, Zui Gansei So. The accompanying tube is wrapped in initial wrapping paper with pine needles, as shown in photo ⑫. The tea scoop is in a silk pouch, as shown in photo ⑪. Please be assured that the lines on the tip of the scoop are not dirt but natural stains from the bamboo. The back shows some signs of use, but this should be considered due to age. There are no scratches or repairs. There is a small stain on the lid of the accompanying box, as shown in photo ⑬.
