This one is somewhere in the middle. It is made of super soft and smooth leather. This is beautiful, but what comes along are impressions and scuffing/scratches. You can all of these things on the case, but not as bad as some I've seen. The main issue to note is there is stretching of the leather and the tab closure, which translates to the case being a bit misshapen. It doesn't close 100%, which I tried to show in the last photo. This also meant that I ended up trimming the refill pages about .25 so the case closes better. Or maybe I couldn't find the precise size. I'll include extras of the A5 and you can experiment with the width you prefer.
