Griswold No 7 Cast Iron Oval Roaster Dutch Oven 648 Erie PA

A wonderful old Griswold No. 7 oval roaster, with the weight, finish, and beautifully simple form that make early cast iron so appealing. Made in Erie, Pennsylvania, it has a deep oval base and domed lid with wonderfully bold raised lettering. The underside carries the classic Griswold cross logo along with the No. 7 and 648A markings.  Measurements: • Length: 17 (handle to handle) • Interior Length: 15 • Height: 7 (with lid)  In great vintage condition, especially for a piece of its age. There is light wear from use, including some utensil marks and small areas of surface oxidation, but the iron and cooking surface have been very well preserved.
