This is a mask of a man with shaggy hair, with holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth. It may represent the male character Klana with a flushed face, or perhaps another character with pink skin who is lovesick. Although the details are unknown, it possesses captivating charm and strength.

What is Wayang Topeng?
Wayang Topeng is a traditional masked dance drama performed in Java and Bali, Indonesia, by actors wearing masks (topeng). It primarily features the Panji stories (ancient romances) and is performed as a dedication during celebrations such as weddings and birthdays, or during religious ceremonies. A characteristic feature is that the performers switch masks to portray multiple roles.
Its history is said to be recorded from around the 10th century. Since human actors wear masks to perform, there is a powerful, lifelike presence. The performers wear masks and act out stories to the live accompaniment of traditional Indonesian instruments called Gamelan. It is a historic performing art that expresses Indonesia's rich culture and stories.
