Highly collectible vintage Crown Trifari strawberry brooch, designed by Alfred Philippe during the late 1940s. It features an intricate openwork, gold-tone mesh setting sculpted into a textured berry pattern, accented by prong-set clear round rhinestones. The signature looped stem at the top doubles as a hidden bale, allowing it to be styled as either a pin or pendant. Openwork style is rarer than the solid enamel fruit pieces produced by the brand. Golden structural base is in beautiful condition and the PAT. PEND. hallmark is perfectly crisp. *** NOTE: piece is missing 4 clear rhinestones on the front face (please review close-up photos carefully).
