This is a miniature replica of the stage prop Tsuzura (vine) from the Noh play Katsuragi.
The Noh play Katsuragi is set on Mt. Katsuragi in mid-winter when snow is falling.
The snow-covered mound plays a significant role in depicting a vast, snow-covered landscape.
① This prop is a handmade miniature of the mound.
Snow cotton is placed on top of the sakaki (sacred tree).

[Synopsis] A traveling yamabushi (mountain ascetic) arrives at Mt. Katsuragi in Yamato and it begins to snow. A village woman appears and entertains the yamabushi by a bonfire. The woman asks him to perform a prayer. She reveals that she is bound by vines and suffering, and then disappears, revealing herself to be the deity of Mt. Katsuragi. That night, as the yamabushi performs the prayer, the deity of Mt. Katsuragi appears, expresses her joy at being freed from suffering, dances the Yamato dance, and disappears into a rock cave.
