Keizuka Lacquerware, the pinnacle of Wajima-nuri. A beautiful piece with the luster of lacquer.

[What is Wajima-nuri...]

A representative traditional Japanese lacquerware craft passed down mainly in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Among the lacquer cultures with a history of over a thousand years, it is characterized by particularly exquisite and durable techniques.

Craftsmen repeatedly apply and dry carefully selected lacquer, creating a deep luster and robust texture through repeated drying and polishing. Furthermore, by using decorative techniques such as Maki-e (gold lacquer) and Chin-jin (gold inlay), each piece holds the value of a work of art.

The charm of Wajima-nuri is not only its beauty but also its unchanging brilliance even in daily use. You can feel the breath of the artisan the moment you hold it.
Truly, a masterpiece of Japanese traditional crafts that gains more flavor with use.
Traditional craft Wajima-nuri is designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property.
This is a highest-grade lacquerware that can be used for generations.
