Vintage Large Italian Hand Painted Floral Pitcher Italie 618 Art Pottery 10”

Beautiful vintage Italian hand-painted ceramic pitcher, measuring an impressive 10” tall with approximately 20” circumference at its widest point. A substantial statement piece with wonderful Old World character and decorative presence. The creamy glazed pottery is decorated by hand with lush pink and buttery yellow flowers, deep green foliage and petite blue blossoms. A hand-painted blue band circles the upper portion, while warm ochre-yellow edging accents the rim and base. The large sculptural handle features charming hand-painted blue stripes. The pitcher has an especially beautiful form, with a rounded body, narrow waist and dramatically flared rim and pouring spout. Because of its generous scale, it would be gorgeous used as a vase filled with hydrangeas, garden flowers or branches, or displayed on its own as a piece of collected European pottery. The underside is hand marked “618 ITALIE” with an additional stylized F mark, confirming Italian origin. Maker is unknown, so no specific attribution is being made.
