Incense Container, Lucky Charm, Tea Ceremony Tool, Traditional Craft, Set of 2

Kogo (Incense Container)
Lucky Charm
Tea Ceremony Utensil
Traditional Craft
Set of 2

Details such as purchase date are unknown.
This is a set of two kogo, used for burning incense in tea ceremonies, being sold together!

⚠️ Although the wooden box is labeled Kogo: Rat, Boar, the box and its contents may not perfectly match.
They were stored together, so I am listing them as a set.

・Turtle?
As the saying goes, Tsuru wa sennen, kame wa mannen (Cranes live for a thousand years, turtles for ten thousand), the turtle is a symbol of longevity! The simple texture of the ceramic is deeply appealing, and it has a charming appearance with its neck slightly extended.

・Rat?
The character for Rat is beautifully depicted in vibrant vermilion and green! As the beginning of the Chinese zodiac, the Rat is considered a lucky charm symbolizing prosperity and business success.

How about using them as incense holders for tea ceremonies, or as seasonal decorations for your entryway or living room? (*´∀｀*)

There are no noticeable scratches or stains, but there is a crack on the inside of the lid of the round kogo.

The wooden box has some color changes due to age.

I have uploaded as many photos as possible, so please check them.

Please understand that this is based on a visual inspection by an amateur, and there may be oversights.
Thank you for your understanding in advance.

*Please purchase with the understanding that this is a used item.*
