Recently, this tableware has become famous as a favorite of Haruma Miura.
Currently, it takes about 6 months from order to delivery.

Jojoji Town (now Ninohe City) in Iwate Prefecture, which became famous through a lecture by Jakucho Setouchi, is home to Tendaiji Temple, where Jakucho Setouchi served as chief priest. Tendaiji is the oldest temple in Tohoku, and Jojoji lacquerware originated when monks began making temple utensils for this temple 1200 years ago.
Jojoji, which has gained attention due to the discovery of lacquer from the Jomon period at the Sannai Maruyama site and the fact that Jojoji lacquer enabled the restoration of Kinkaku-ji, is Japan's largest lacquer production area.
Because Jojoji lacquerware developed for everyday use by common people, it could not survive as high-end products like other production areas when plastic products became widespread in the 1960s, and was quickly devastated.
Nearly 20 years later, Shoji Iwadate and his son Takashi revived Jojoji lacquerware as modern everyday lacquerware by establishing the Jojoji Lacquerware Craft Cooperative.
As Jojoji lacquerware is for everyday use, it is by no means a high-end craft product, but it is undoubtedly traditional Japanese lacquerware that has undergone meticulous base treatment through over 20 processes, and it is durable enough to be repaired repeatedly and used for 100 years.
It has no ornamentation, but its color and luster will increase with each daily use.

Uses Jojoji Lacquer personally refined by lacquer craftsman and traditional craftsman Takashi Iwadate.
Made using plenty of high-quality Jojoji Lacquer (Jojoji Urushi), harvested in the Jojoji region of northern Ninohe City, Iwate Prefecture, selected by the lacquer craftsman themselves.
