This piece features clearly visible wood grain and growth-ring patterns on both cut ends, with attractive golden yellow, reddish-brown, gray, and translucent mineralized areas. The exterior retains a natural bark-like texture, giving it the appearance of a small fossilized log section.  The ends appear cut and partially polished, making the internal pattern easy to see. There is a visible crack running through part of the piece, along with natural fractures, chips, surface wear, and irregularities consistent with petrified wood.
