Description
Comes in original box. Good condition - a few scratches on top and the box is soiled. Origin: Originally introduced in the 1940s by Harrison Fisher in Sheffield, later produced and distributed by brands like Taylors Eye Witness. Museum Recognition: The classic design is famously on permanent display at the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Dimensions & Build: Measures roughly 5 inches tall by 4.5 to 5.5 inches wide, featuring a heavy cast iron or coated iron body (often in white, gunmetal, chrome, or silver finishes) designed to stay stable on the counter. Butcher's Steel Action: Replicates the mechanical action of a traditional handheld sharpening/butcher's steel. Spring-Loaded Steels: Utilizes twin revolving, spring-loaded steel wheels under tension that automatically set the correct edge angle for both sides of the blade equally. Blade Preservation: Aligns and hones straight or serrated carbon and stainless steel kitchen blades without aggressively shaving away excessive metal.
