15.00 $
Description
An original late 19th century solid metal grater. Manufactured by Buffington Slaw Cutter Company (see embossing). Approximately 13 inches long and 4 inches wide. It has use instructions embossed on the front of the cutter. The embossing was difficult to photograph. An aged metal grater with patina. Has horizontal slotted design that shows cut marks from use, adding to its uniqueness. The handle is attached under the rolled sides of the grater on the back side and is sturdy. There is some rust and surface scratches. Please see pictures for details on the patina and rusting. There are several that show it. I never used for cooking only for display. For a simple rustic, vintage farmhouse look. Ready to for DIY project, display or repurpose. Props not included. Sold as is. From a cat friendly smoker home. #39 B2
