Julienne (pronounced joo-lee-en) is a classic French knife cut where food, usually vegetables, is sliced into long, thin, matchstick-like strips, typically about 2-3 inches long and 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick, ensuring they cook evenly and add visual appeal to dishes like stir-fries, salads, and garnishes. Very good dish you can make with chicken and mushrooms with sour cream, bulion and put cheese on the top and cook in the oven. This is the old recipe.
